ICYMI: Derek Dooley Hosts Watkinsville Cookout with Governor and First Lady Kemp

Watkinsville, GA – Conservative outsider for U.S. Senate Derek Dooley hosted a campaign cookout in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District last Friday with Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp.

Governor Kemp highlighted Derek’s common-sense message of delivering results and putting Georgians first. He also made the case for why a political outsider is best suited to defeat Jon Ossoff, mentioning contested Senate races in 2024 where political outsiders all ousted three term Democratic incumbemts:

  • Dave McCormick defeated Bob Casey in Pennsylvania

  • Bernie Moreno defeated Sherrod Brown in Ohio

  • Tim Sheehy defeated Jon Tester in Montana

Derek laid out his plan for ending business as usual in Washington and made the case for why he’s the best candidate to defeat Jon Ossoff in November. He also highlighted his “Georgia First Contract”: a five-part pledge between him and the people of Georgia that will guide his time in office and ensure he stays accountable to them.

On April 15 and 16, Derek will kick off the next leg of his Georgia First Tour in Northwest Georgia. Stay up to date with details on leg two of the tour and the campaign’s upcoming swings in Metro Atlanta, Southwest GA, and Northeast GA swings at dooleyforgeorgia.com/events.
