As I meet with Georgians across our state, one thing becomes clear: no matter where they live or what their background is, most people want the same basic things: a safe community, a quality education and the skills needed for good-paying jobs, and the opportunity to afford a home and raise a family.
Those should always be the top priorities of Congress. But too often, Washington politicians get distracted by political games and personal agendas, losing sight of their responsibility to deliver results for the American people.
Getting Congress to focus on what matters most starts with sending a different kind of leader to Washington–and reforming “D.C. business as usual” so our government works for the people, not politicians.
Washington has lost sight of who it works for. My priorities are simple: put Georgians first, demand accountability in Washington, and deliver results for the people we serve.
Ending D.C. Business as Usual
Congress is not working for the people the way it should. It hasn't always been that way, and it doesn't have to stay that way. I will relentlessly push for reforms that will attract better leaders to Washington and hold them accountable to do the job the American people sent them to do.
Safe Communities
Every American deserves to feel safe in their home and their community. That starts with a secure border, enforcing the law, and supporting the men and women who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.
More Jobs, Higher Wages
Georgia’s economy grows when hardworking people, small businesses, and innovators are free to succeed. Washington should be focused on creating conditions for economic growth, not standing in the way of it.
Putting Patients and Doctors First
Healthcare decisions should be driven by patients and doctors–not insurance companies, bureaucrats or Washington politicians. We need a system that prioritizes transparency, choice and access to quality care for all Georgians.
Peace Through Strength
America must remain the strongest and most respected nation in the world. When the United States leads with strength, clarity and resolve, it deters conflict and protects the safety of the American people. If we fail to lead, others will fill the void.
Stop Washington’s Spending Addiction
For more than 25 years, Washington has developed a dangerous habit of spending more money than it brings in and passing the buck to the next generation. That's not how families run their households, or how businesses run their operations, and it shouldn't be how the federal government runs either.
