NEW POLL: Derek Dooley Surges in Race for GOP Nomination
ATLANTA – Quantus Insights released a new poll in the race for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate. The latest poll showed conservative, political outsider Derek Dooley’s surge to 22.5%, up 14% compared to Quantus’ last poll conducted in February. Meanwhile, corrupt politician Mike Collins lost ground, dropping 3%. This new polling is well outside the margin of error to secure one of the two run-off spots in the May 19 GOP primary.
Per Quantus Insights, “The movement story in the Senate race is Dooley. In Quantus’ February polling, Dooley stood at 9%, far behind Collins at 36%. By the late-April/early May survey, Dooley climbed to 22.5%.”
“This recent surge in the polls is not surprising to those who have been on the ground with us these last nine months,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. “Georgia voters are tired of the careerism, corruption and inaction of typical DC politicians who forget about the people they were elected to serve. As we approach May 19th, we will continue to campaign the old-fashioned way, county by county, voter by voter, to earn the trust of the Georgia people. I look forward to May 19th.”
The Dooley for Georgia campaign continues to build momentum with just 13 days to go until the May 19 Primary Election – and is not slowing down. Derek Dooley will be joined by Governor and First Lady Kemp as his Georgia First Tour continues to roll through the rest of the state, with the next leg from May 7 - 8 in Northeast Georgia, and the final swing culminating May 13 - 15.

ICYMI: Derek Dooley Crushes GOP Senate Primary Debate
Atlanta, GA – Derek Dooley, political outsider and Republican candidate for United States Senate, just crushed the GOP Senate primary debate. Here’s the recap:
I’m not your typical candidate. After practicing law and billing hours, I followed in my father’s footsteps and spent a 28-year career coaching football and investing in young people. I’m running for U.S. Senate because Congress isn’t working for the people – and we have to start sending different kinds of leaders up there to deliver results and put the people first.
We have a careerism problem in Washington. Too many politicians go up to D.C. and stay too long, get too little done, and forget about the people who elected them to serve. That’s why my number one priority in the U.S. Senate will be term limits.
As the father of a son with Type I diabetes and the husband of a physician in a rural area, I understand firsthand the frustration the American people have with the cost of healthcare.
In the U.S. Senate, I’ll fight to ban stock trading by members of Congress. It’s corrupt, shameful, and erodes public trust.
Congress isn’t working for the people. We need more outsiders in the U.S. Senate to work with President Trump to deliver results for the American people.
I have a lot of pride in America, the ideals it stands for, and the opportunities it creates. And I want our next generation to have that same pride, which is why I’m asking for your vote for U.S. Senate.

Derek Dooley Launches First Television Ad Ahead of May 19 GOP Primary
ATLANTA — Political outsider and former football coach Derek Dooley announced the release of his first television ad for the May 19 Republican primary for U.S. Senate. The ad will run starting April 21.
The ad, titled, “The Boss,” focuses on Derek’s “Georgia First Contract”: enacting term limits, banning insider stock trading, ending government shutdowns, and working with President Trump for the people of Georgia.
“I am running because hardworking Georgians need a true political outsider who knows they’re the boss and works to deliver results for them in the Senate. D.C. politicians like my opponents are more focused on getting rich and famous than working for the people they were elected to serve,” said Derek Dooley.
“As Senator, I will work tirelessly to enact term limits, ban congressional stock trading, stop government shutdowns and end politics as usual in Washington, D.C.”
Derek: “…Felt like we had one more question?”
Audience Member: “What makes you different?”
Derek: “D.C. politicians focus on getting rich and famous, and never on who hired them, which is you. And as a football coach for thirty years, I can spot these ‘me first’ guys a mile away, and we gotta get rid of them.
Derek: “As your Senator, I’ll never forget that you’re the boss, and they need accountability: term limits, ban stock trading, end these government shutdowns; and up there, I’m gonna work with President Trump, but for you.”

Governor Kemp highlighted Derek’s common-sense message of delivering results and putting Georgians first. Tim Sheehy defeated Jon Tester in Montana
Derek laid out his plan for ending business as usual in Washington and made the case for why he’s the best candidate to defeat Jon Ossoff in November. Derek Dooley Rolls Out His Georgia First Contract
ATLANTA – Today, Derek Dooley, the conservative outsider for U.S. Senate, unveiled “The Georgia First Contract,” a five part pledge to the people of Georgia that will guide his service in the U.S. Senate. As Derek travels the state over the next ten weeks, he’ll be signing the Georgia First Contract with hardworking Georgians who want to fire the politicians and elect new leadership to represent our state in the U.S. Senate.
“Congress is failing the American people because too many entrenched D.C. politicians put their own political careers and personal interests ahead of the people they were elected to represent,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. “Georgians deserve better and that is why I am running for the U.S. Senate. This isn’t a list of empty promises, but a clear set of standards that will guide every vote I cast and decision I make, and hold me accountable every single day. Unlike the politicians in D.C., I’ll never forget that I work for the people of Georgia.”
1. Georgia First. Always.
My loyalty is to the people of Georgia. Every action I take will be based on what is best for our state and our country, not what helps me win the next election, chase media attention, or score political points. If a proposal strengthens our state and makes America stronger, I will support it. Congress would get more accomplished if no one cared who got the credit.
2. I Will Limit My Own Service
I commit to serve no more than two terms in the U.S. Senate. I will work tirelessly to force a vote on congressional term limits and do what is necessary to get it across the finish line. Ending careerism is the most important step our country can make toward making Washington work for the people again.
3. I Will Not Use Public Office to Get Rich
I will not trade individual stocks or digital assets, nor will I profit from information, access, or influence that comes with holding elected office. I will fight to ban those trades for members of both the House and Senate, their spouses, and senior staff. This blatant corruption in both parties is shameful and erodes public trust.
4. I Will Do the Job I Was Elected to Do
I will not accept pay during a government shutdown. More importantly, I will work to fix the broken system that rewards politicians for failing to do their job by supporting reforms that keep the government open and stop congressional pay and privileges when budgets aren’t passed on time. Congress should not be allowed to use the government to hold the American people hostage.
5. I Will Be Accountable to All Georgians
During my first term in the U.S. Senate, I will hold at least ten town halls across the state to stay connected with the people I represent, including those who didn’t vote for me. Too many politicians go to D.C., settle into the Washington echo chamber, and lose sight of the real world. Whether we agree on every issue or not, as your senator I will always work for and answer to the people of Georgia.
Dooley is endorsed by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, and his Georgia First campaign is continuing to build the momentum needed to earn the Republican nomination and defeat professional politician and far-left Democrat Jon Ossoff at the ballot box in November.

Atlanta, GA—Today, Derek Dooley officially qualified to run for United States Senate and give this seat back to hardworking Georgians.

In Case You Missed It: Derek Dooley is Crisscrossing Georgia
In case you missed it...political outsider and Republican candidate Derek Dooley has been crisscrossing the Peach State as he reaches out to voters to share his outsider message.
First, Dooley joined Cole and Darrell on the Mountain Morning Show to talk about how he’s working to earn the endorsement of the people of Georgia.
The full interview can be found here.
Next, Derek Dooley and Gov. Brian Kemp took the stage together to speak with Atlanta Young Republicans. After serving for the last six years, Governor Kemp knows what it takes to deliver for the people of Georgia, and told the crowd that Georgia needs a political outsider representing them in the Senate. Of Dooley, Kemp stated, “I was looking for a political outsider, and it just happened to be a guy that I’ve known for, you know, 50 plus years.”
Derek Dooley then traveled to Rome, Georgia, where President Trump talked about how he has been getting the economy back up and running after the disastrous four years of the Biden administration.
Derek then sat down with the Cobb County Republican Women to discuss fighting for Georgia's common good and opportunities for our young people.

Derek Dooley continued making the rounds and joined the Ruthless podcast with Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan, and John Ashbrook to talk about why Georgia is a “must-have race.”
Dooley spoke about how politicians can learn from the locker room to take careerism and individualism out of politics and start prioritizing “team politics.”
Term limits, reaching across the aisle, reducing the cost of living, and listening to what the people need are just a few of the ways Dooley plans to make an impact.

Derek Dooley Slams Congressman Mike Collins for Taxpayer-Funded Corruption, Calls on Collins to Return $95,000
ATLANTA – Political outsider and candidate for United States Senate, Derek Dooley, is slamming Rep. Mike Collins for using nearly one hundred thousand dollars in taxpayer money to pay for television ads promoting his Senate campaign–the latest in multiple, egregious misuses of taxpayer funds by Congressman Collins’ office, which is also under an ongoing ethics investigation.
Rep. Collins is running television ads in the Atlanta media market–which is largely outside of Rep. Collins’ 10th congressional district–with a $95,232 cable buy airing this ad under the guise of “franking”, a privilege given to members of Congress to communicate with their constituents regarding official congressional business, not political campaign activity.
Collins’ advertising buy started on January 23rd of 2026 and ends on March 22nd, which infringes on the 60-day blackout restriction for taxpayer-funded advertisements by congressional offices prior to primary or general elections given the Republican primary for U.S. Senate will take place on May 19th. The taxpayer-funded advertisement also mirrors similar messaging from Collins’ campaign.
“This is blatant, taxpayer-funded corruption by Congressman Mike Collins,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for United States Senate. “Instead of using his own campaign funds to pay for television advertisements three months before the primary, he is using nearly $100,000 of your tax dollars. At minimum, Collins should apologize and refund the money from his own pocket immediately.
“This corruption from D.C. politicians who abuse the system to stay in power must end. As U.S. Senator, I will introduce legislation to stop taxpayer-funded campaigning and ensure the money Georgians send to Washington is used to fund the priorities of the American people, not the political ambitions of self-serving politicians. This is just one of many reforms that I will champion to make Washington work for the people, not the politicians.”
This is just the latest in a series of egregious misuses of taxpayer funds by Congressman Collins’ office, which continues to be under investigation by congressional ethics officials.

Derek Dooley Raises Over $1.1 Million in Q4, $3 Million in First Five Months
Atlanta, GA – Republican candidate for United States Senate, Derek Dooley, announced his Georgia First campaign raised over $1.1 million in Q4 and a combined $3 million for his first five months in the race to defeat Democrat Jon Ossoff. This record fundraising number not only proves the momentum of the political outsider and first-time candidate, but also indicates that Georgians are ready to retire typical D.C. politicians.
“Georgians are fed up with D.C. politicians who talk a lot, deliver little, and put their own interests ahead of the voters who elected them,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for United States Senate. This campaign is about something different—commonsense, principled leadership that puts the people of Georgia first. In just five months of meeting Georgians across the state, we’ve built a statewide operation focused on winning this seat back for the people who actually live and work here. I’m grateful for the trust and support we’ve earned so far, and I’m ready to keep working every day to defeat Jon Ossoff and deliver real results for Georgia.”
“Over the last several months, Derek Dooley has proven to Georgians that he can’t be outworked,” said Dooley Campaign Chair Don Leebern III. “These record fundraising numbers are proof that Georgians understand what it’s going to take to fire Jon Ossoff, and that’s a political outsider who is capable of going on offense and exposing his atrocious record. With Derek at the top of the ballot and Governor Kemp’s strong support, Republicans have the best chance of taking down the Democrats and giving our state a Senator who actually represents us.”
In Q3, Derek Dooley raised the largest sum of any candidate in their first fundraising quarter during a competitive Georgia GOP Senate primary when compared to the Republican fields in the 2014 and 2020 Senate races. The campaign enters 2026 with over $2.1 million cash on hand.
Dooley is endorsed by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, and his Georgia First campaign is continuing to build the momentum needed to earn the Republican nomination and defeat professional politician Jon Ossoff at the ballot box in November.

Derek Dooley Organizes in All 159 Georgia Counties
Atlanta – Today, political outsider Derek Dooley announced that his United States Senate campaign has organized in all of Georgia’s 159 counties – a testament to his statewide operation, grassroots support, and winning message that is resonating with voters as his campaign gains momentum in all four corners of the state.
“For the past five months, our campaign has been building a full, statewide operation that has the resources we need to defeat Jon Ossoff and deliver this seat for the people of Georgia,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for United States Senate. “From now until Election Day, we’re going to continue organizing grassroots support in every community across the state, exposing Jon Ossoff’s failed record, and fighting for common-sense leadership that puts the Georgia people first.”
“If you’re going to win an election in the Peach State, you’ve got to have grassroots support, strong fundraising numbers, and a positive message that appeals to everyday Georgia voters,” said Everett Kennedy, Bulloch County Captain. “No other candidate has what it takes to win, and every day, the first-time candidate and political outsider is proving that he’s the best-positioned candidate in this race to defeat career politician Jon Ossoff.”
Derek Dooley’s county captains are made up of the hardworking men and women – farmers, teachers, law enforcement officers, nurses, doctors, community leaders, small business owners, moms, dads, grandmothers, and grandfathers – who make our state the best in the country to live, work, and raise a family.
Dooley is endorsed by Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp. His political operation closely resembles Governor Kemp’s highly successful model that was responsible for turning out low propensity voters and helping him defeat Democrat Stacey Abrams in the 2022 Gubernatorial Election by 7.5 points.

Derek Dooley Calls for Congressional Term Limits
Atlanta, GA – Earlier this month, political outsider and U.S. Senate candidate Derek Dooley signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge and reiterated his commitment to common-sense reforms that hold elected officials in D.C. accountable to the people.
“Washington is broken because too many politicians go to D.C. to build careers instead of solving problems for the people who elected them,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. “The system rewards career politicians, not the American people. For decades, politicians have signed term-limits pledges, talked about reform, and then done nothing. I’m not interested in symbolism—I’m interested in results.”
Dooley believes twelve years is more than enough time to serve your country, deliver results, and then return home. Yet for decades, career politicians have blocked term limits to protect their own interests and preserve a system that rewards insiders and the status quo.
“Signing a pledge doesn’t mean anything if you’re not willing to reject the status quo and fight for real solutions, and that’s exactly what I’ll do for the people of Georgia in the U.S. Senate,” Dooley added. “I believe the fastest way to force congressional action is to exempt current members—apply term limits only to newly elected officials—and finally break their decades-long inaction.”
Prioritizing term limits is only one part of Dooley’s plan to end business as usual in Washington D.C. When elected, he plans to push for additional reforms that curb corruption, restore transparency, and break the gridlock—so Congress works for the American people again, not itself.
Read Derek’s op-ed on ending business as usual in D.C. here.

Longtime Public Safety Leaders Endorse Derek Dooley for U.S. Senate
Atlanta, GA – Today, political outsider and Republican candidate for United States Senate Derek Dooley announced the endorsement of respected law enforcement officials and former Commissioners of the Georgia Department of Public Safety – Colonel Gary Vowell and Colonel Chris Wright.
“Georgians deserve elected officials who lead with integrity and respect, and who are committed to putting their families and communities first,” said Colonel Gary Vowell, Former Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety. “I’m proud to endorse Derek Dooley for the United States Senate and am confident he’ll do everything it takes to keep Georgians safe, no matter their zip code.”
“We need more leaders who are willing to get involved, roll up their sleeves, and do what’s right for the people of Georgia,” said Colonel Chris Wright, Former Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety. “I have no question Derek Dooley will lead in the U.S. Senate with dignity and honor, and work hard to keep Georgians safe.”
“I’m honored to have the support of Colonel Vowell and Colonel Wright, two widely-respected public servants and trusted law enforcement officials who have served our state honorably for the last several decades,” said Derek Dooley, Republican Candidate for United States Senate. “In the U.S. Senate, I will always support our men and women in law enforcement, work to crack down on crime and hold criminals accountable, and keep Georgians in every corner of our state safe. I’m honored to have them on the team as we continue building momentum to defeat Jon Ossoff next November!”

Colonel Vowell started his career with the Georgia State Patrol in Americus, graduated as a member of the 51st Trooper School and was assigned to Post 13 in Tifton, served as a Field Training Officer where he was awarded for drug interdiction by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, worked as a certified Peace officer Standards and Training instructor for alcohol and drug awareness, and was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to sit on the Board of Public Safety. Colonel Vowell is a longtime member of the National Sheriff’s Association and the Georgia Sheriff’s Association.
About Colonel Chris Wright

He has earned numerous awards and certificates for his service, including the selection as officer of the year by the Peace Officers Association of Georgia and subsequent honor by the Safety Fire Commission, Georgia House, and Georgia Senate. In 2012, Colonel Wright graduated from the FBI National Academy, Session #251.
Derek Dooley Slams Ossoff’s Vote Against Bipartisan Deal to Reopen Federal Government
Atlanta, GA – Today, political outsider and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Derek Dooley slammed Jon Ossoff following his 15th vote against the people of Georgia.
“In the least surprising move of this shutdown, Jon Ossoff voted against re-opening the government for the 15th time, putting his complete lack of leadership on full display by prioritizing Chuck Schumer and his party bosses over the hardworking people of Georgia,” said Derek Dooley, Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate. “It’s an embarrassment to our state, and we all deserve better.”
Tonight, Jon Ossoff voted in favor of American troops going unpaid, families who rely on SNAP going hungry, thousands of essential government workers going without paychecks, and millions of hardworking people across the country and here in Georgia being hurt by continuing this shutdown.
