NEW POLL: Derek Dooley Surges in Race for GOP Nomination
ATLANTA – Quantus Insights released a new poll in the race for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate. The latest poll showed conservative, political outsider Derek Dooley’s surge to 22.5%, up 14% compared to Quantus’ last poll conducted in February. Meanwhile, corrupt politician Mike Collins lost ground, dropping 3%. This new polling is well outside the margin of error to secure one of the two run-off spots in the May 19 GOP primary.
Per Quantus Insights, “The movement story in the Senate race is Dooley. In Quantus’ February polling, Dooley stood at 9%, far behind Collins at 36%. By the late-April/early May survey, Dooley climbed to 22.5%.”
“This recent surge in the polls is not surprising to those who have been on the ground with us these last nine months,” said Derek Dooley, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. “Georgia voters are tired of the careerism, corruption and inaction of typical DC politicians who forget about the people they were elected to serve. As we approach May 19th, we will continue to campaign the old-fashioned way, county by county, voter by voter, to earn the trust of the Georgia people. I look forward to May 19th.”
The Dooley for Georgia campaign continues to build momentum with just 13 days to go until the May 19 Primary Election – and is not slowing down. Derek Dooley will be joined by Governor and First Lady Kemp as his Georgia First Tour continues to roll through the rest of the state, with the next leg from May 7 - 8 in Northeast Georgia, and the final swing culminating May 13 - 15.
