Peace Through Strength
America must remain the strongest and most respected nation in the world. When the United States leads with strength, clarity and resolve, it deters conflict and protects the safety of the American people. If we fail to lead, others will fill the void.
Strong Military. We must make absolutely clear to our adversaries that the United States has the strongest, most lethal military in the world–and the will to use it when American lives and our national security are at risk. That means investing in military readiness, innovation and advanced technology, and ensuring our service members have the resources they need to succeed.
Stand with Israel and Our Allies. Maintaining peace requires strong alliances. It is imperative we work with our allies to confront shared threats and promote stability around the world. Israel remains America’s strongest ally in the Middle East and a vital partner in a dangerous and unstable region.
No Forever Wars. Military force should always be used carefully and with a clear purpose. Any conflict we enter must have clearly defined, achievable objectives tied directly to American security. We must learn from the mistakes of the past and avoid prolonged conflicts without a clear path to success.
